Job Title: Forklift Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Maintenance Engineer to perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance of forklifts. This role involves interpreting manufacturer's technical manuals to execute necessary repairs and maintenance tasks. The engineer will troubleshoot forklift problems, including brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems, while detecting imperfections and potential safety issues.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance of forklifts.
+ Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals for maintenance and repairs.
+ Troubleshoot forklift problems, including brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
+ Detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues, and malfunctions.
+ Possess good working knowledge of brake systems and tire/wheel changes.
+ Work on LP, gas, and diesel systems.
+ Replace broken or defective parts and order replacement parts for major repairs.
+ Reassemble forklifts and make necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.
+ Perform safety inspections of forklifts before release back to work floor.
+ Clean equipment and other related areas.
Essential Skills
+ 3 years or more of MHE repair or forklift repair experience.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and work on hydraulics and attachments.
+ Experience with electric and propane forklifts.
+ Experience in maintaining various lift trucks such as Hyster, Cat, Crown, and Mitsubishi.
+ Ability to work with lift ratings up to 12,000 lbs.
+ Experience with electrical, low voltage, 480v, and ACDC systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 8 years or more of experience is preferred.
+ Strong electrical is preferred.

Work Environment
Work in an industrial, clean, and large complex. The shift is Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with 40-45 hours a week, including one Saturday a month. Enjoy a structured day with a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
