Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in San Rafael, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting various accounting functions. Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle accounts payable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and managed.

• Prepare and manage payroll entries, including maintaining and verifying employee timecards.

• Conduct data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Create and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

• Collaborate on the implementation and optimization of payroll systems and processes.

• Handle automated payroll operations to streamline and ensure timely payments.

• Perform check runs and review payment batches for compliance and correctness.

• Support financial reporting and assist with month-end close activities as needed.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation related to payroll and accounts payable.

• Communicate effectively with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations. Requirements

• Proven experience in payroll and accounts payable operations.

• Proficiency in automated payroll systems and processes.

• Strong knowledge of journal entries and financial recordkeeping.

• Ability to perform accurate check runs and handle payment batches.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Familiarity with timecard management and payroll data entry.

• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with Workday, UKG, or ADP is required
