Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented HYBRID Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is a contract-to-permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with time split between on-site and remote work once acclimated. The role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in accounts payable and general accounting practices.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments to vendors.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure financial records are up-to-date.

• Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and payment tracking.

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure proper recording of financial transactions.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes to meet reporting deadlines.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities.

• Provide detailed reports and analysis to assist management in decision-making.

Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

• Strong knowledge of journal entries and bank reconciliation processes.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
