    Description

    We are looking for a part-time, experienced VP/Director of Finance to lead financial planning and management initiatives for our organization. This long-term contract position requires a strategic thinker with expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, and grant management. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this role offers an exciting opportunity to drive impactful financial strategies while collaborating with senior leadership.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

    • Manage month-end close procedures to maintain accurate and timely financial records.

    • Create and deliver financial reports that provide actionable insights for decision-making.

    • Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.

    • Oversee grant accounting and ensure compliance with funding requirements.

    • Manage all aspects of grant administration, including tracking expenditures and reporting outcomes.

    • Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain accurate and organized financial records.

    • Prepare and present financial updates to the Board of Directors, offering strategic recommendations.

    • Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial strategies with organizational objectives.

    • Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze data and support financial planning.

     

    Requirements • Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting and reporting.

     

    • Expertise in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis.

    • Familiarity with grant accounting and grant management processes.

    • Strong knowledge of financial forecasting and cash flow management.

    • Ability to lead month-end close procedures and maintain accurate records.

    • Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders.

    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.

    • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining compliance and accuracy.
