Description

We are looking for an experienced interim Controller to join our team in Lebanon, Indiana. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance within a fast-paced logistics environment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in accounting and finance, as well as experience with both Acquisitions and the company's ERP system.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the financial control cycle, including monthly reporting and forecasting, to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare and submit detailed reporting packages in alignment with organizational standards.

• Analyze financial results and collaborate with operations leadership to identify and implement cost-saving measures.

• Provide financial guidance and expertise across departments to support strategic initiatives and future growth.

• Promote a culture of cost consciousness while maintaining high levels of customer service.

• Partner with managers on improvement projects to optimize operational efficiency and reduce expenses.

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations by maintaining accurate records aligned with approved policies.

• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.

• Work with external service providers to meet auditing and compliance requirements, including accounting, tax, and benefits.

• Meet monthly and annual financial reporting deadlines with precision and timeliness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master's degree is a plus.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and finance.

• Proficiency in NetSuite and expertise in Acquisitions accounting a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to complete month-end close activities, journal entries, and reconciliations efficiently.

• Strong track record of delivering accurate financial reporting and preparing monthly financial statements.

• Experience in the warehouse, supply chain, or logistics industry is preferred.

• Skilled in cash flow projections, budgeting, and adherence to strict deadlines.

• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills to ensure high-quality financial oversight.
