Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in cash applications, and maintaining strong relationships with commercial clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while honing your expertise in accounts receivable processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record incoming payments with accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage commercial account collections, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.

• Handle cash applications, matching payments to invoices and resolving discrepancies.

• Communicate with clients to address billing inquiries and payment issues.

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial records.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounts receivable operations.

• Monitor and maintain records of overdue accounts to support collection efforts.

• Generate and review reports detailing accounts receivable performance.

• Assist with billing functions, ensuring invoices are properly prepared and sent.

• Provide support during audits by supplying necessary documentation and information. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable processes, including cash applications and collections.

• Strong knowledge of commercial collections and billing functions.

• Proficiency in managing financial records with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Familiarity with accounting software and tools for receivable management.

• Solid problem-solving skills to address payment discrepancies and account issues.

• High level of organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
