Job Title: Drone Operations Specialist
Job Description
We are searching for a skilled Drone Operations Specialist with extensive experience in operating drones via Remote Control. The successful candidate will assist in the development and testing of cutting-edge safety-related technologies. This role encompasses mission planning, lightweight maintenance duties, and conducting limited operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Operate drones via Remote Control with precision and safety.
+ Assist in the development and testing of safety-related technologies.
+ Engage in mission planning and lightweight maintenance tasks.
+ Conduct operation readiness activities and logistics planning.
+ Travel up to 75% of the time to various flight test sites.
Essential Skills
+ Current 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
+ 2+ years of Remote Control drone operation experience.
+ Detailed knowledge of computer concepts, PC hardware, and software troubleshooting.
+ Solid understanding of networks, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Windows Server networking.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for 8-10 hours with breaks, and perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
+ Experience leading small teams.
+ Valid Driver's License and ability to meet driver eligibility criteria.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with the commercial UAS industry.
+ Aviation safety experience as a Safety Officer or similar.
+ Excellent business communications and reporting skills.

Work Environment
Work five days a week with shifts starting at 1:00 PM and ending at 8:30 PM, subject to change. Be prepared for variable schedules, including weekends when necessary. Travel up to 75% of the year with all travel and housing provided. Work in various weather conditions, maintaining safety standards. A work vehicle will be provided for daily travel to offsite locations.

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
