Job Title: Cleanroom Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a Cleanroom Assembler for a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. The successful candidate will work on both repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical cable assemblies and electrical sub-assemblies. The role requires utilizing a computer tablet for instructions, drawings, sketches, and wiring diagrams during the production process. This position involves cable/wire termination, crimping specifications, and the use of various hand tools, semi-automatic, and manual wire crimpers, as well as power tools. The candidate must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds periodically and using a tape measure to ensure the precision of wire lengths to 1/8 of an inch.
Responsibilities
+ Perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations on electronic and mechanical cable assemblies.
+ Interpret instructions, drawings, sketches, and wiring diagrams using a computer tablet.
+ Utilize knowledge of cable/wire termination and crimping specifications.
+ Operate various hand tools, semi-automatic and manual wire crimpers, and power tools.
+ Measure wire lengths accurately using a tape measure.
+ Lift up to 30 pounds periodically during assembly tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in assembly and wiring.
+ Experience with hand tools and power tools.
+ Ability to interpret instructions on a computer tablet.
+ Knowledge of cable/wire termination and crimping specifications.
+ Ability to measure with precision to 1/8 of an inch.
+ Capability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 6 months to 1 year of wire assembly experience.
+ 1 year of manufacturing experience.
+ Strong attention to detail.

Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa, operating primarily on the 1st shift from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Our temperature-controlled facility maintains an extremely clean and art-filled environment, providing a unique manufacturing setting. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans and work-appropriate shirts or sweatshirts. Our team size varies from 20 to 30 employees, with most work performed independently at 'cell' workstations. While seating is not guaranteed, some positions do offer that option. The culture is family-oriented, with additional staff hired during busy seasons to maintain high standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
