    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly experienced HVAC Service Technician with a minimum of 7 years in the commercial HVAC industry. This role requires advanced technical expertise in servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex HVAC systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong diagnostic skills and a commitment to delivering top-tier service.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform expert-level service and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, boilers, chillers, split systems, and ventilation equipment.

    + Diagnose and resolve complex system issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques.

    + Lead or mentor junior technicians on service calls and installations.

    + Install, calibrate, and upgrade HVAC components and control systems.

    + Ensure compliance with all safety standards, building codes, and energy efficiency regulations.

    + Communicate clearly with clients, project managers, and internal teams regarding service findings and recommendations.

    + Maintain detailed service records and documentation for each job.

    + Participate in emergency service rotations and respond to urgent calls as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC service and repair.

    + EPA Universal Certification required.

    + Deep understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and building automation controls.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

    + Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

    + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Additional HVAC certifications (e.g., NATE, OSHA 30) preferred.

    + Experience with plumbing, installation, and construction.

    + Familiarity with cast iron and PVC materials.

    + Proficiency in using hand tools.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hampton, NJ.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
