Job Title: Print Tool Technician Lead
Job Description
The Print Tool Technician Lead is responsible for ensuring successful printing production by setting the foundation through proper tool availability. This role involves timely communication with production to minimize downtime, training, and overseeing technicians within the department. Ideal candidates will have previous experience as a Print Tool Technician or in a similar role, with skills in managing people and schedules, and a desire for growth.
Responsibilities
+ Track monthly KPI metrics for plate and screen room associates
+ Construct and maintain flexographic/lithographic plates and screen cylinders
+ Keep accurate logs and verify plate information
+ Perform quality checks to meet pressroom standards
+ Conduct preventive maintenance and coordinate vendor service calls
+ Manage inventory, order materials, and update schedules
+ Maintain cleanliness of rooms and equipment
+ Prepare production reports and support technician training
Skills & Qualifications
+ Production and machine operation experience
+ Proficient in data entry and basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, division, ratios, percentages)
+ Experience with slitter machines and basic troubleshooting
+ Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team
+ Motivated, reliable, and practical problem-solving skills
+ Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs as needed

Work Environment
Work hours are Sunday to Thursday from 11 PM to 7 AM, with compensation ranging from $18.50 to $20.50 per hour plus a $2.00 shift premium. Training occurs on the 1st shift for 4-8 weeks due to the availability of the best trainers. A bus route is available for all three shifts.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.50/hr.
