    Job Title: Machine Operator - 1st Shift - Start ASAP

    Job Description

    We are looking for a skilled Operator to efficiently manage our envelope production process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machines and maintaining the quality of our products.

    Responsibilities

    + Feed the machine with stacks of paper.

    + Monitor the flow of paper to ensure seamless operation.

    + Pick up and straighten large stacks of envelopes, then box them.

    + Monitor the ink flow from the machine stamping envelopes.

    + Box up envelopes and ensure packaging is secure.

    + Perform quality checks on envelopes every load to ensure accuracy.

    + Document quality checks and record data from inspections.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to read a tape measure, including measurements such as 1/8th and 1/16th of an inch.

    + Packing or operating experience, preferably with the ability to load multiple parts or products onto a machine.

    + Experience operating two machines simultaneously.

    + Physical ability to stand, walk, twist, reach overhead, and bend over for extended periods.

    + Strong attention to detail and quality experience, with the ability to monitor and record quality findings.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanically inclined with experience in production, assembly, and general labor.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a large, well-lit facility with a warehouse and shipping area near the front dock doors, and production on the other side. It is a loud setting, requiring the use of company-provided earplugs. Although the space is not climate-controlled, industrial fans are positioned throughout to ensure a comfortable atmosphere.

    This is a Contract position based out of Belleville, MI.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
