    Job Title: CNC Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The role involves working with boring mills and machining parts for the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries with tight tolerances. The ideal candidate will have the ability to edit programs, select proper tooling, and understand Fanuc controls. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers is essential. Additionally, the machinist must be capable of zeroing out the X-Y and Z axis and performing tool touch-offs to set proper tooling height from the XYZ axis.

    Responsibilities

    + Edit CNC programs and select appropriate tooling.

    + Understand and operate Fanuc controls.

    + Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

    + Use measurement tools like micrometers and calipers to ensure precision.

    + Zero out X-Y and Z axis before starting new jobs.

    + Perform tool touch-offs to set correct tooling height.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with boring mills and CNC machining.

    + Proficiency in programming using Vizi, Work NC, or Mastercam.

    + Familiarity with Fanuc controls or other programming languages.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with horizontal boring mills and CNC machines.

    + Knowledge of VISI and other programming tools.

    + Ability to work in a grease and dirt-filled machine shop environment.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is available for both 1st and night shifts. The 1st shift runs from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, while the night shift operates from 3:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday. You will work in a machine shop environment with large equipment, overhead cranes, and hi-lo experience. Training will be provided on the 1st shift until you are comfortable with the processes, which may take up to three months.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
