    Job Title: Aircraft Supervisor - Line Maintenance

    Job Description

    The Aircraft Supervisor is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. This role involves scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in hangar environments, real-time line maintenance, and rapid-response AOG support. This is a working lead position.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform heavy maintenance, modifications, and overhauls on aircraft systems and structures using technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

    + Document all work in accordance with regulatory and company procedures.

    + Ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins.

    + Conduct pre-flight, post-flight, and turnaround inspections.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve issues during aircraft operations.

    + Replace components and perform minor repairs to ensure aircraft readiness.

    + Coordinate with flight crews and dispatch for real-time updates.

    + Respond to urgent aircraft issues that prevent flight operations and travel to remote locations as needed.

    + Work independently under time-sensitive conditions and communicate with operations and maintenance control to expedite solutions.

    Essential Skills

    + Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification.

    + Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial aircraft maintenance (e.g., B737, A320, B747).

    + Strong understanding of FAA regulations and aircraft systems.

    + Ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings.

    + Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and test instruments.

    + Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

    + Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform overhead work.

    + Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

    + Capable of standing, kneeling, and walking for extended periods.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environments.

    + Familiarity with hazardous material handling.

    + Ability to obtain airport SIDA badge (background check required).

    + Supervisor/Lead experience.

    + Experience with Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

    + Capability to read, interpret, and follow technical manuals.

    + Has of personal tools (tools must be in a box but don't need to be shadowed and etched).

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment primarily consists of hangar settings. The current schedule is a day shift from Monday to Friday, with potential for additional shifts. Flexibility in shift work is preferred, but specific shift preferences can be accommodated.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
