    Job Title: Production Machinery Operator

    Job Description

    As a Production Machinery Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining table saws, CNC routers, and edge banding machines. Your role will involve ensuring the efficient production of cabinetry components while maintaining machinery, updating job statuses, and working collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules.

    Responsibilities

    + Produce machine wood parts by programming, setting up, and operating various pieces of equipment.

    + Operate and manage table saws, CNC routers, and edge banding machines to produce cabinetry components according to specifications.

    + Set up and adjust machines for each production run, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.

    + Keep up to date with production schedules and product specifications.

    + Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards.

    + Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal performance.

    + Measure and cut wood or other materials to specified dimensions using table saws.

    + Ensure accurate cuts by following technical drawings and measurements.

    + Manage off-cut materials efficiently.

    + Sharpen and replace saw blades as needed.

    + Adjust guides and fences to ensure precision in cutting operations.

    + Load and configure CNC programs according to production specifications.

    + Set up CNC routers with necessary tools and materials.

    + Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance of CNC routers.

    + Remake damaged parts as required and report incidents to the supervisor.

    + Label each part and piece of production for accurate tracking.

    + Operate CNC routers to produce parts with high precision and accuracy.

    + Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and avoid waste.

    + Set up and operate edge banding machines to apply edge bands to cabinetry components.

    + Adjust machine settings for different materials and edge banding types.

    + Inspect edge-banded components for proper adhesion and alignment.

    + Trim and finish edges to meet quality standards.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of CNC experience.

    + Basic woodworking knowledge.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

    + Knowledge of operating table saws, CNC routers, and edge banding machines.

    + Experience with machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Forklift operation knowledge.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to plan machine operations by studying work orders and materials.

    + Experience with preventive maintenance of equipment.

    + Ability to update job knowledge through educational opportunities.

    + Good physical health, stamina, and ability to lift 50+ pounds.

    Work Environment

     

    Work a consistent 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, starting from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with minimal to no overtime. Adhere to the dress code of steel-toed shoes, long pants/work jeans, and a plain T-shirt. Safety is a priority with team lifts for heavy items, and effective communication in English is essential.

    This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
