    Job Title: CNC Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines, working mainly with Mori Siekis and Doosans. You will use precision measuring tools and blueprints daily to ensure the accurate production of parts. Your expertise in G and M code, as well as tool and fixture selection, will be crucial to the role.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines, including Mori Siekis and Doosans.

    + Utilize precision measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges to check parts.

    + Perform 1-3 setups per day, selecting the appropriate tooling and fixtures.

    + Select tools, machines, and materials for machining tasks.

    + Adjust and operate basic and advanced machine tools for precision machining operations.

    + Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials onto machines.

    + Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and precision instruments.

    + Machine parts to specifications using lathes and milling machines.

    + Examine and test completed units for defects using precision instruments.

    + Monitor machine feed and speed during machining processes.

    + Study blueprints and engineering information to determine fabrication methods and sequences.

    + Diagnose machine malfunctions and determine necessary adjustments or repairs.

    + Ensure workpieces are properly lubricated and cooled.

    + Position and fasten workpieces on machines.

    + Verify operational efficiency of equipment.

    + Clean and lubricate machines and tools to maintain optimal operation.

    + Advise on materials for finished products.

    + Exchange technical information with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel.

    + Collaborate with engineering and cutting tool suppliers to improve tool life.

    + Design and create basic fixtures and tooling to meet special engineering needs.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of machining and CNC setup experience.

    + Proficiency in basic blueprint reading.

    + Ability to identify potential problems.

    + Operate CNC machines while adhering to quality and safety standards.

    + Capability to lift/push/pull up to 30 pounds.

    + Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for 8 hours or more.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with GD&T, machine setup, troubleshooting, and changeovers.

    + Familiarity with SolidWorks and CAD/CAM software.
