    **About Our Team** :

     

    The Wealth Management Learning & Coaching (WML&C) team in the Retail Experience Strategy & Risk (RESR) organization is accountable for developing and coaching Schwab sales professionals. The Wealth Management Learning & Development (WML&D) team, an organization within WML&C, is responsible for creating and delivering innovative learning solutions to equip Schwab talent across the branch network and specialized organizations to provide exceptional service to our clients.

     

    We are always searching for new ways to deliver industry-leading wealth management experiences to our clients and provide services that add more value to our clients. This starts with ensuring our people are equipped to serve clients the Schwab way.

    About the Role:

    We are looking for an experienced and strategic learning professional to join the WML&D team. This role, **Director of Content,** will lead our Content Center Excellence (COE) and a team of Learning Consultants, and will drive the design and development of our learning content. You will collaborate with peers in WML&D, Instructional Designers, work cross functionally with other L&D partners in the organization, and engage with multiple stakeholders in the Branch network. The ideal candidate is a people-centered leader with strong business and sales acumen, has a consulting mindset, and has demonstrated success managing the design and implementation of learning programs from analysis through implementation.

    What You’ll Do:

    **Leadership & Strategy** :

    + Lead, coach, and develop a team of Learning Consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement

    + Partner with the Director of WML&D to identify strategic learning needs, translate them into actionable plans, and lead the team to design content to meet learning needs

    + Develop and execute an annual learning roadmap for content development aligned with organizational goals and talent priorities

    + Draft and monitor content development plan that addresses short- and long-term needs

    **Learning Design & Delivery** :

    + Lead working sessions to identify and organize learning content plan aligned with L&D strategy

    + Lead Learning Consultants and oversee the design and development of scalable learning content

    + Partner with Instructional Designers to ensure learning content/programs reflect modern adult learning principles, engaging practices, and digital learning innovation

    + Champion a blended learning approach in content development – leveraging self-directed, community-based, and experiential learning methods

    + Drive review and approval process on final training content

    Strategic Partnership & Consulting:

    + Act as a strategic advisor to WML&D leader, recommending learning interventions and diagnosing learning gaps

    + Collaborate with WML&D leader to align learning with strategic initiatives across retail and branch network

    + Build strategic partnerships to stay informed of upcoming learning opportunities and proactively identify learning needs

    + Influence and communicate effectively across all levels of WML&C and the branch network to drive engagement of learning content/programs

    **Operations & Governance** :

    + Manage the team’s portfolio of projects and timelines to ensure we are designing and developing world-class training content on time and in line with priorities identified

    + Build roadmaps to aid in capacity planning, prioritization and strategic decision making

    + Clearly define internal workflows and processes

    + Ensure team is complying with compliance standards and proper handoff of content to IDs

     

    What you have

    Required:

    + Minimum 10 years of experience in Learning & Development

    + 4+ years in a people leadership role, managing learning professionals or consultants

    + Demonstrated success in designing and implementing enterprise-level learning initiatives

    + Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    + Ability to partner with others to create tangible action plans

    + Demonstrated ability to communicate and implement a clear, focused learning and development strategy for WML&D Director

    + Strong interpersonal and relationship skills. Ability to establish rapport with and influence Schwab colleagues

    Preferred:

    + Minimum 5 years of sales experience (retail sales in financial services)
