Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Inspector to join our team. This role involves inspecting incoming materials for printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies in a high mix, quick-turn environment. The ideal candidate will audit supplied material for accuracy against the Bill of Materials (BOM) and document non-conforming materials. Training will start at 7am before moving to a regular shift from 9am to 5:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
Responsibilities
+ Inspect incoming materials for use in PCB assemblies.
+ Audit materials for accuracy against the Bill of Materials (BOM).
+ Identify critical component features such as part number, part value, package type, size, and RoHS compliance.
+ Document and report on non-conforming materials.
+ Interface with customers as required.
+ Track inventory, count parts, and verify batch numbers.
+ Utilize inventory software systems for data entry and email correspondence.
+ Pull parts for customer builds against pick lists.
+ Move incoming materials to the stockroom and transport kits to the production floor.
+ Re-stock inventory items and organize the stockroom.
+ Operate equipment such as OHM meter, weigh scale, vacuum sealer, baking oven, magnifying glass, and inspection microscope.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to read and understand BOMs, assembly drawings, customer purchase orders, work orders, and special instructions.
+ Familiarity with ESD handling procedures of sensitive electronic devices per ANSI/ESD 20.20.
+ Ability to identify and interpret part values, package types, and ROHS compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with quality assurance and inspection in a manufacturing environment.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Knowledge of inventory software systems.
+ Ability to correspond with customers professionally.
+ Experience in organizing and maintaining a stockroom.

Work Environment
Join a team of 60 employees in a manufacturing environment, predominantly focused on assembly, soldering, and quality control. You will be part of a 5-person inventory and kitting area, utilizing various technologies and equipment to ensure precision and efficiency.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
