Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will support all employees and customers positively and respectfully, while working harmoniously with others to achieve our goals. This role involves conducting and recording various inspections, tests, and ensuring compliance with our quality standards.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct and record Pre-Op and Post-Op inspections of equipment and facility.
+ Perform Brix & pH tests on products and record results.
+ Inform supervisor when product specifications are not met.
+ Visually inspect finished products.
+ Calibrate and clean pH meters as needed.
+ Maintain fresh buffers and water.
+ Identify and store product retains for products made during shift.
+ Verify traceability information regarding lot and batch codes on packaging.
+ Verify and record fill weights.
+ Review traceability documents during production hours.
+ Place out-of-spec product on Quality Hold.
+ Record all pertinent information and any outstanding events on Incident Report forms.
+ Observe production and warehouse crews for compliance with GMP and SOP, addressing issues as needed.
+ Ensure allergen SOP is observed.
+ Check pouch and bottle seals, weights, lot codes, and legibility of codes, recording results.
+ Inspect and record sanitation inspection of totes to be filled.
+ Conduct ATP swabbing to validate sanitation.
+ Collate production records for next-day HACCP review by Food Safety Manager.
+ Communicate effectively with Operations Manager, Shift Supervisor, and Food Safety Manager.
+ Utilize excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
+ Act with discretion and problem-solving ability.
+ Act in a self-directed manner, seizing opportunities and being proactive in avoiding potential problems.
+ Demonstrate a willingness to learn new tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in a warehouse/general labor position for at least one year.
+ Ability to speak, read, and write the English language; bilingual skills are a plus.
+ Ability to print neatly and legibly.
+ Detail-oriented with strong focus on accuracy.
+ Familiarity with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standard Sanitary Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
+ Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and accurately recording scientific data.
+ Ability to standardize, calibrate, and utilize scientific equipment such as pH meters, refractometers, ATP testing units, ATP swabs, torque meters, and weigh scales.
+ Basic math comprehension and skills.
+ Ability to work in a busy, wet production environment.
+ Ability to follow supervisor's directions and work both independently and as part of a team.
+ Experience in production, packing, warehouse, general labor, loading, packaging, general production, or as a production worker, particularly in the food industry.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fresno, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
