    *Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    ***Job Description:** Join a global leader in wheel and tire assembly manufacturing for the agriculture, construction, forestry, and mining markets as a Maintenance Technician. This full-time position is based in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Technician, you will be responsible for installing, altering, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. You will lead a team of 2-5 electricians and work independently or under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Engineering Manager. This role demands independent judgment and a high degree of confidentiality.

    *Responsibilities

    + Logically engineer, design, draw schematics, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronic equipment efficiently.

    + Utilize proficient knowledge of electronic and PLC technology and programming.

    + Ensure compliance with electrical theory, NEC codes, and OSHA standards.

    + Locate, analyze, and correct power failures, short circuits, and electrical-related problems.

    + Maintain the highest standards of excellence for safety, housekeeping, and quality.

    + Oversee maintenance technicians.

    *Essential Skills

    + 3 years of experience in electrical systems.

    + Proficient knowledge of electronic and PLC technology and programming.

    + Familiarity with NEC codes and OSHA standards.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment.

    *Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Allen-Bradley and PLC troubleshooting preferred.

    + Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and enterprise asset management (EAM).

    ***Work Environment:** This is a fully on-site position at a typical tire manufacturing facility. The facility is not temperature-controlled and features machines from the 1940s alongside some new automated equipment. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, safety glasses, and hearing protection on the production floor.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
