    Job Title: Bakery Machinist

    Job Description

    We are looking for a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. This role involves setting up and operating multi-axis CNC Mills, inspecting parts, and working with various materials to produce high-quality components. As a Machinist, you will contribute to the manufacturing of heat shield tiles for rockets in our state-of-the-art facility.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate multi-axis CNC Mills up to 5-axis.

    + Inspect parts using hand tools to verify dimensions.

    + Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings, and/or verbal instructions.

    + Work with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials such as Inconel, stainless steel, copper, and titanium.

    + Communicate effectively with shop leadership when production is inhibited.

    + Continuously provide feedback for process improvements.

    + Understand basic G-Code and make adjustments to feed/speed.

    + Read and understand blueprints, GD&T, notes, and tolerances.

    + Use hand inspection tools to check machined features.

    + Preprocess and manufacture ceramic fibers, filaments, and powders for product fabrication.

    + Document processes precisely to replicate each step in material processing.

    + Perform product inspection and rework as required.

    + Read and interpret engineering drawings with an understanding of symbols, flag notes, and general notes.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in CNC programming and operation.

    + Experience with blueprint reading, G-Code, geometric dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing.

    + Ability to work with various machine controls including OSP and Fanuc.

    + General machining experience.

    + Strong mathematical skills.

    + Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience setting up assemblies.

    + Basic understanding of robotic automation.

    + Experience operating and maintaining 6-axis robots.

    + Experience working with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) in an automation setting.

    + Experience using Simantic or other HMIs.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cocoa, FL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
