Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in directing skilled trades employees to achieve the maintenance department's goals within a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized manufacturing environment. The role involves coordinating safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale initiatives, driving throughput improvements, and overseeing both professional and breakdown maintenance activities. Additionally, the supervisor provides coaching and mentoring to team members on World Class Manufacturing techniques for effective problem-solving and corrective action implementation.
Responsibilities
+ Possess a general level of technical understanding related to maintenance, time-based maintenance (TBM), condition-based maintenance (CBM), and dynamic maintenance (DM).
+ Influence key performance indicators (KPIs), mean time between failure (MTBF) of components and equipment, mean time to repair (MTTR), and maintain equipment at basic conditions while continuously improving equipment in their area.
+ Address throughput, run-to-run, and downtime-related issues with equipment in a production environment, supported by the Professional Maintenance Specialist (PMS) where applicable.
+ Direct supervision of skilled trades.
+ Work with skilled trades staff to drive waste reduction efforts through the implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methods and processes.
+ Actively participate in and lead kaizen project activities focused on Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) improvements and identifying waste reduction opportunities through cost deployment.

+ Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers.
+ Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
+ Goal-oriented self-starter with the ability to lead teams.
+ Ability to coach, mentor, and develop skilled trade employees.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
+ Bachelor's degree in technical or engineering field preferred.
+ Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
+ Experience leading maintenance teams in a union environment.
+ Green Belt/Red X/Six Sigma training.
+ Experience with controls, robotics, drives, system-level communication systems, sealing systems, glass cell systems, various conveyance systems, welding, paint process and associated systems, vision systems, and sensors.
+ Familiarity with World Class Manufacturing pillar methodology and implementation.
+ Good working knowledge of Google Suite software programs.

Work Environment
This position requires 100% onsite presence in a high-volume manufacturing setting. The work environment is unionized, promoting a collaborative approach to achieving production and maintenance goals. The role involves working with various advanced technologies, including controls, robotics, and communication systems, and may require shift work and overtime.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $34.00/hr.
