Job Title: CNC Programmer and Operator

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a small shop specializing in plastic injection molds and repairs. We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer and Operator to program from scratch using WorkNC or Mastercam and operate CNC mills with Fanuc controls. You will perform setup, tool changes, and mold creation, working directly on the shop floor with Makino Mills.

Responsibilities

+ Program CNC mills from scratch using WorkNC or Mastercam.

+ Operate CNC mills with Fanuc controls independently.

+ Perform setup, tool changes, and run the machine from start to finish.

+ Read blueprints and program directly from prints.

+ Collaborate with a small team in creating and repairing molds.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in CNC Mill Programming in 2D & 3D using WorkNC or Mastercam software.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints for programming.

+ Experience in CNC mill setup, tool changes, and machine operation using Fanuc controls.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience as a Mold Maker or willingness to learn mold repair.

+ Skills in manual CNC use including mills, lathes, grinders, and bridgeports.

+ Experience running a Wire EDM is advantageous.

Work Environment

Work in a smaller shop within the plastic injection industry, alongside a team of 4-6 individuals. The position is full-time, first shift, Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 4pm. Enjoy a collaborative atmosphere where craftsmanship meets cutting-edge technology.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling Heights, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
