Aerotek's client is looking for a Lead Finish Carpenter to join their team in the Elkridge, MD area
Job Description
+ We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Finish Carpenter to oversee the installation of soundproof panels and related components at various client sites.
+ This is a hands-on position where you will be actively involved in the carpentry work while leading a team of 2-4 carpenters.
+ Projects are located in the DC and Baltimore Metro areas, and you will be responsible for managing schedules, tracking progress, and communicating with clients.
Responsibilities
+ Build and install soundproof panels at client sites.
+ Install track and core systems with acoustics.
+ Install panel and fabric components.
+ Oversee and lead a team of 2-4 carpenters on various projects.
+ Communicate directly with the operations manager and have carpenters report to you.
+ Maintain schedules and track project progress.
+ Engage directly with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
+ Perform carpentry work alongside the team.
Essential Skills
+ Finish carpentry expertise.
+ Leadership and team coordination.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
+ 5+ years of experience in construction, specifically carpentry.
+ Effective communication skills and proactive problem-solving.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in cabinets, trim, and finish carpentry.
+ Supervisory experience.
+ Ability to track timesheets, time, and labor.
+ Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and good driving record.
+ Excellent time management skills.
+ Possession of basic carpentry tools.
+ Willingness to be trained in the installation of sound control products.

Work Environment
+ Work is performed at client sites, including a mix of commercial and government locations. As one of the last trades onsite before project completion, maintaining a clean working environment is crucial.
+ U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkridge, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
