    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    This role is a manufacturing associate in a steel company focused on supporting production operations. The material handler will be responsible for moving materials to the appropriate areas using overhead cranes and pallet jacks, collaborating with all departments within the plant.

    Responsibilities

    + Move materials at the beginning or end of the process to the required area.

    + Operate overhead cranes and pallet jacks to transport materials within the plant.

    + Load and unload materials onto and off of machines, ensuring proper placement.

    + Monitor machine operations, managing material batches every 30 minutes.

    + Collaborate with all departments within the plant to ensure efficient material flow.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in machine operating and material handling.

    + Proficient in computer skills.

    + Ability to lift 35 pounds.

    + Willingness to work up to 60 hours a week.

    + Previous experience in manufacturing and as a material handler.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Familiarity with slitting environments or chemical processing plants is ideal.

    + Steel toe footwear is required.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Carlisle, IN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
