    Job Title: Maintenance Planner

    Job Description

    The CMMS Maintenance Planner will work collaboratively with the Maintenance/Facilities team to ensure the proper upkeep of assets. This role is crucial for maintaining an accurate inventory of spare parts, scheduling associate labor efficiently, and keeping detailed records within the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Additionally, the position involves providing excellent customer service to operations and vendor teams, and assisting the maintenance management team in compliance adherence.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate, plan, schedule, and verify the status of preventative and corrective maintenance work within the CMMS for the Facilities Maintenance Associates.

    + Assist in building efficient work packages for planned repairs and projects, ensuring parts are handed off to Technicians in designated areas.

    + Align with Maintenance Supervision and Management on prioritizing critical work, aiding in project plans and kitting.

    + Create and maintain accurate Purchase Orders with vendors for procuring necessary spare parts and services.

    + Validate and resolve issues with vendor invoices, processing them through Finance for payment.

    + Follow up with vendors and contractors on procured parts and contracted services, coordinating emergency repairs.

    + Manage MRO spare parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, issuing, and maintaining inventory levels.

    + Organize and maintain the cleanliness of storage areas, manage critical inventory levels, and ensure MRO parts availability.

    + Track warranty parts through work orders and source alternative parts vendors.

    + Ensure accurate and efficient data entry into the CMMS system for parts and purchasing modifications.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with CMMS systems.

    + Experience in Industrial (Manufacturing OR Distribution) environments.

    + Experience with conveyor belts.

    + Ability to complete internal scheduling and create schedules from scratch.

    + Two years of experience in Maintenance planning, scheduling, and CMMS spare parts inventory management.

    + Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

    + Broad-based understanding of CMMS, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    + Ability to make independent decisions and function without supervision.

    + Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with leadership, project management, and team-building abilities.

    + Flexible and able to multi-task effectively.

    + Analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to manage key relationships with stakeholders and external contacts.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with the person (PM) is a plus.

    + Familiarity with Koopa (Timekeeping/ordering) is a plus.

    + Vendor management abilities and effective communication skills.

    + Expert competence with office software tools and familiarity with financial and accounting software.

    + Previous experience with material handling equipment and associated parts.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a very large, fast-paced distribution center, requiring comfort with both computer work and physical tasks such as standing and lifting up to 50lbs. The work is split between the floor and the tool room/spare parts area, reporting directly to the maintenance supervisor. Shifts available are 1st Shift, Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm, and 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
