    Job Title: CNC Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who can interpret 3D models and engineering drawings to plan setups, program CAM, design fixturing, and run inspection workflows. The ideal candidate will operate a variety of CNC machines, including 3-axis, 3+2, and 5-axis mills, live-tool lathes, waterjets, and laser cutters, maintaining precise tolerances.

    Responsibilities

    + Interpret 3D models and engineering drawings for setups and inspections.

    + Operate and maintain CNC machines with high precision.

    + Develop innovative work-holding and tooling solutions for prototyping.

    + Generate efficient CAM programs, manage tool libraries, and maintain CAM templates.

    + Perform in-process and final inspections using various measuring tools.

    + Optimize feeds and speeds and drive continuous improvements in shop processes.

    + Collaborate with engineers and machinists for design-for-manufacturing feedback.

    + Support the fabrication of tooling, fixturing, and other structures for R&D hardware.

    + Document setups, offsets, inspection results, and lessons learned.

    + Uphold safety protocols and compliance with company standards.

    + Contribute to shop cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness.

    + Proactively manage projects to deliver parts on schedule.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of CNC machining experience, including 5-axis or mill-turn exposure.

    + Proficiency in CAM software such as Fusion 360 and Mastercam.

    + Strong skills in GD&T and metrology, with a preference for CMM experience.

    + Manual machining skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Mastercam programming expertise.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with lathe and mill operations.

    + Knowledge of machining and cam processes.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $97760.00 - $122720.00/yr.
