    We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Grader Operator to join our team at a steel mill in Decatur, AL. This role involves operating heavy equipment to grade and maintain the steel landfill area on-site. The position is primarily outdoors in a hot, dirty, and active manufacturing environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    Key Responsibilities:

    Operate grader equipment to level and maintain landfill areas used for steel byproducts.

    Drive and maneuver equipment safely across uneven terrain within the facility.

    Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of the grader.

    Work closely with site supervisors to ensure grading meets operational standards.

    Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.

    Requirements:

    Previous experience operating a grader or similar heavy equipment.

    Ability to work in hot, dusty, and physically demanding outdoor conditions.

    Reliable transportation to and from the Decatur site.

    Strong attention to safety and detail.

    Must be able to work 40–50 hours per week, starting at 6:30 AM.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Trinity, AL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
