    Job Title: Surface Grinder

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Surface Grinder to operate machinery with a reciprocating table and magnetic chucks. The role involves executing semi-finish grinding operations using abrasive segments, managing setups, detwisting, conducting in-process inspections, and deburring. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong mathematical aptitude, proficiency in reading precision instruments, and the ability to interpret drawings and prints. Reliable attendance and transportation are essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform semi-finish grinding operations using abrasive segments.

    + Execute setups and detwisting processes.

    + Conduct in-process inspections and deburring.

    + Maintain accurate readings using precision instruments.

    + Interpret and work from drawings and prints.

    + Ensure consistent attendance and reliable transportation.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience in blanchard grinding.

    + Proficiency in setting up and running tools.

    + Ability to read blueprints and conduct quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with crane and Hilo operations is beneficial.

    + Possession of personal tools is a plus.

You will be working in a facility that supplies machine ways, rails, shear knives, surface grinding, large CNC machining, machine knives, flame hardening, wear plates, and liners.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, MI.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
