    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated Machine Operators for our production facility that specializes in cookies and other snack products. Our facility operates on 2nd and 3rd shifts and involves both the manufacturing and packaging of these delicious treats.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up, monitor, and adjust packaging equipment to bag and/or box finished products, ensuring food safety and quality protocols are followed.

    + Maintain proper weights, quality requirements, and perform equipment checks/tests.

    + Assist in the tear down and assembly of bagger scales/conveyors.

    + Troubleshoot and correct basic equipment problems and escalate when necessary.

    + Complete film changes on bagging machines and load boxes into packaging machines.

    + Monitor equipment for maintenance-related items and safety issues, reporting to the supervisor.

    + Assist in the elimination of product waste and communicate changes to the incoming shift.

    + Perform data entry according to established process control procedures and product specifications.

    + Train new employees and assist with changeovers and machine setups.

    + Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with all GMP requirements.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in manufacturing, particularly in a food plant, is helpful.

    + Proficiency in machine operation, troubleshooting, and machine setup.

    + Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

    + Attention to detail and ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with process and packaging machines.

    + Knowledge in machine calibration.

    + Capability to perform preventive maintenance and equipment cleaning.

    Our facility operates under strict GMP practices, requiring hair and beard nets, among other guidelines. You will work in a clean and safe environment with attention to detail and teamwork being paramount.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.81 - $20.97/hr.
