Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
Job Description
Join a leading foundations and caissons company as a Safety Manager. This role involves teaching heavy equipment operation and overseeing various safety duties within the company.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with foremen and superintendents to address field challenges.
+ Work effectively with General Contractors while upholding company safety standards and operational judgment.
+ Represent the company with confidence, clarity, and professionalism.
+ Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure consistent safety oversight on active projects.
+ Support supervisors in completing Jobsite Safety Surveys, ensuring uniform and timely documentation.
+ Assist foremen with preparing and reviewing JHAs, lift/mobilization plans, rigging setups, and site-specific safety controls.
+ Provide real-time coaching and guidance when safety concerns or hazards are identified.
+ Ensure completion and documentation of daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and equipment inspections.
+ Lead new-hire safety onboarding and field integration.
+ Deliver task- and equipment-specific safety training, including rigging, fall protection, excavation, crane support, and spotter training.
+ Assist in developing a structured training handbook for new hires, supervisors, and foremen.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in construction, maintenance management, and heavy equipment operation.
+ Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety training.
+ 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Must be comfortable living onsite and maintaining the property through all seasons.
+ Ability to lift heavy jobsite materials for extended periods, over 10-hour days.
+ Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions (cold or heat).
+ Must have reliable transportation and a clean MVR.
+ Experience in tool/material handling and strong communication skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
