_Summary of Opening:_

_The Egg driver is responsible for picking up eggs from the hatchery and delivering them to the farms each day. The driver is responsible for performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections as well as forklift inspections. The driver is responsible for loading the trailer with eggs. The driver will safely deliver the load to a farm and help unload them on site. The driver will haul approximately 2 or 3 loads a day._

_Typical schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday starting around 6am until done hauling designated loads. Typically, a 10 to 12-hour work day._

_The schedule will fluctuate with egg inventory. Wednesday and/or Weekend work may be required. If truck and trailer can’t be cleaned during normal work days, off-day work may be scheduled for cleaning._

_Work all holidays that fall on weekdays except for Christmas._

_The individual selected for this position will be responsible for driving a truck from the hatchery to and from various grower’s farms throughout the area. Successful applicants will also realize that they are representing Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation whenever they are driving a company vehicle, making sure to always follow the rules of the road._

_Description of Duties/Qualifications:_

1. _Must have successfully completed the probationary/trial period._

2. **_Must have excellent attendance habits._**

3. _Must have no other disciplinary write-ups within the past 90 days._

4. _Will load trucks at hatchery, deliver load to farms._ **_The nature of the position is very physical._**

5. _Must be able to drive large trucks in all types of weather and have the ability to chain wheels, if needed._

6. _Must be able to lift/push 100+ lbs._

7. _Must have a valid CDL Class A license, a good driving record, a drug-free record and must pass a DOT physical._

8. _Vision correctable to 20/20._

9. _Must possess good decision making ability._

10. _May also be required to do other Hatchery related jobs._

11. _Good work ethics and able to work as a team with other drivers and Hatchery employees._

12. _Able to work in hot and dusty environments._

13. _Normal work days Monday – Tuesday, Thursday –Friday – work any scheduled holidays. Sometimes we do work Saturdays if needed._

14. _Start times vary with seasons, normal start times are 5:30 to 7:30 am and finish work by 6:30 pm._

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

•Working knowledge of driving and traffic rules.

•Appropriate skill to drive a truck safely

•Ability to follow both written and verbal directions

•Ability to communicate effectively with others in a manner that maintains harmony with co-workers

•Considerable ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

•Considerable ability to work under dusty adverse conditions.

•Valid Class A Driver’s license and acceptable driving record according to Company Policy 622 required, (Possession of single, valid operator’s license with appropriate vehicle classification for operators state of residence; no incident in prior 36 months in which the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs; no incident in prior 36 months of reckless/careless driving; no major driving violations), for Lockout/Tag out safety as well as other company safety programs and policies.

•Valid Pilgrim’s Forklift license or ability to obtain license within 30 days

• Must have the ability to operate a manual CMV
