JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition: Delivery Driver Revised: 12/16, 1/17, 12/20, 03/23Reports to: Branch Operations ManagerStatus: Hourly Non-Exempt, Full or Part Time
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – include and are not limited to:
+ Maintain a valid commercial driver’s license with tank and Hazmat endorsements.
+ Maintain a valid DOT physical card.
+ Maintain compliance with all FMCSA drug and alcohol testing requirements.
+ Maintain accurate safety and compliance records and submit timely as needed.
+ Maintain compliance with all company and government safety, policy and regulatory standards.
+ Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
+ Maintain compliance with all traffic and environmental laws and regulations.
+ Maintain knowledge of all liquid petroleum products and related services available.
+ Maintain confidentiality of all customer and company information.
+ Be capable of constantly and safely loading, securing, transporting and offloading liquid petroleum products to and from assigned destinations.
+ Be capable of constantly climbing in and out of the cab, and dragging a petroleum filled hose several feet.
+ Be capable of constantly navigating customer’s interior and exterior property.
+ Be capable of maneuvering equipment and materials in excess of 300 pounds with use of proper mechanical devices and/or additional man power.
+ Be capable of constantly performing work outdoors with exposure to the elements.
+ Be capable of occasionally performing work when exposed to petroleum fumes and or vapors.
+ Provide exceptional customer satisfaction on a daily basis while interacting with customers.
+ Possess a drive, determination, professionalism, and the desire to be a significant factor in growing our business.
RESPONSIBILITIES – include and are not limited to:
+ Prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle in accordance with company and governmental standards.
+ Load, secure, transport and offload liquid petroleum products to and from assigned destinations in accordance with all company and governmental standards.
+ Report any incidents accurately and timely.
+ Complete any logs, reports and paperwork according to company standards, policies and procedures.
+ Follow daily route and time schedule provided by dispatch.
+ Communicate with dispatch and supervisor on a daily basis.
+ Provide professional courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
+ Collect payments from customers when necessary.
+ Inform customers of new products and services.
+ Maintain a clean and well-kept company vehicle.
+ Maintain a clean and well-kept personal appearance, wear company provided garments.
+ Participate in any required job training, certifications and safety meetings.
+ Report to work as scheduled and work overtime (including on call) as needed.
+ Attend job related training and informational seminars as requested.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS – include and are not limited to:
+ CTEP qualifications-if not currently certified will need to obtain within 1 year of employment and maintain these certifications.
+ Prior commercial driving experience preferred.
+ Prior experience with hazmat material preferred.
