Position OverviewUnited Health Services is looking for an experienced Clinical Resources Manager – Physical Therapist to lead and support our rehabilitation team in delivering exceptional patient care. $49.24 - $73.86 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities:
+ Works under the guidance of the VP of Physician Practices and Director of Clinical Operations and collaboratively with UHS Nursing, Quality Management, Risk Management, Performance Improvement, and other system members to review, implement, and monitor regulatory requirements from CMS, Joint Commission, NYS Health Department, and other regulatory agencies.
+ Fosters a cooperative relationship by supporting operational leadership and engaging clinical staff in initiatives through purposeful site rounding, attending staff meetings, supporting shared governance, active involvement in quality projects, and the development of education.
+ Serves as a clinical mentor to staff by encouraging professional development and providing individualized training/education as needed.
+ In partnership with Nursing Education, develops and conducts clinical skills credentialing to ensure staff are competent to perform necessary job functions.
+ Assures quality of care by developing and interpreting United Health Services and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care; enforcing adherence to NYS Department of Education and NYS Nurse Practice Act requirements and to other governing agency regulations (Joint Commission, NYS Dept. of Health, CDC, United Health Services).
+ Triage quality and safety events by facilitating clinical reviews and assisting in the development/completion of plans of correction as needed.
+ Collaborates with clinical operations to conduct workflow analysis and chart reviews to support operational leadership and improve office efficiency.
+ Maintains clinical guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
+ Collaborates with Infection Prevention Department on interpreting infection-control policies and protocols. Actively participates in infection prevention rounds and activities to provide guidance to operational leaders.
+ In partnership with Pharmacy leaders, maintains compliance with safe medication and vaccine practices including: administration, storage, and education.
+ Assures compliance with NYS immunization reporting requirements through monitoring and coordination of the NYSIIS reporting system; including Vaccines for Children program compliance.
+ Along with Laboratory leaders, oversees the interpretation and enforcement of CLIA standards across the Physician Practices.
+ Proficient in the use of the Electronic Health Record. Works closely with EHR analysts and trainers, in the development of documentation templates and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
+ Research and utilizes best practices in the planning and delivery of education on relevant topics through a variety of venues including: forums, newsletters, emails, and meetings.
+ Demonstrates professional development by enhancing knowledge in regulations, safety/quality topics, vaccines/medications, and evidence-based practices and serves as a consultant to organization leaders, medical directors, clinical staff, and other system members.
+ Actively collaborates with system clinical and operational teams by representing Physician Practice Division in a variety of multi-disciplinary committees and meetings.
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
+ Bachelors in related discipline Nursing or health related field
+ 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare setting to include background in clinical operations, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and performance/quality improvement
+ Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and NYS DOH standard/regulations.
Preferred:
+ Prefer prior experience in related discipline of care (outpatient care)
+ Experience with root cause analysis
+ Lean expert training
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
+ Current New York State license as a Registered Nurse
+ CPR within 3 months of hire
Preferred:
+ Professional certification in a related specialty
