The Brand Manager is responsible for developing brand strategies and managing all elements of the marketing mix for assigned brands and product lines. The Brand Manager will direct the cross functional teams to ensure that the product portfolio and support programs meet identified consumer needs consistent with the company’s financial and mission objectives. The brand manager will work closely with immediate and broader marketing team members, cross-functional partners, and external agencies and resources to deliver short-term and long-term goals of brand growth and profitability.

+ Responsible for brand P&L and comprehends the essential levers to increase profitability over time.
+ Lead annual and long-term brand plans to meet company objectives of market share, volume sales, cash-flow, and contribution margin.
+ Custodian of consumer insights, competitive landscape, and data analytics to build, measure, track, and if necessary, shift brand strategy to stay true to financial goals.
+ Responsible for brand advertising, renovation, and innovation.
+ Manages cross-agency relationships, including media, PR, creative, and independents to see through the execution of brand campaigns.
+ Collaborate with R&D, consumer insights, manufacturing, engineering, sales, and finance to take innovation projects from concept to reality
+ Translate brand objectives into channel specific programs and executions.
+ Own end to end business processes with cross functional partners.
+ Collaborate with omni-channel marketing and HQ sales to guide segment and account specific programs to drive demand and relevance with consumers and customers.
+ Provide field sales with the tools and materials they need to achieve sales targets.
+ Perform in-depth analysis and reporting of multi-channel marketing, promotional campaigns and programs to optimize their performance.
+ Recommend, develop, implement, and analyze qualitative and quantitative research.
+ Responsible for personnel management of assistant brand manager and senior analyst on assigned brand.
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements

Education
+ Bachelor's degree is required. Master’s degree is preferable.
Experience
+ Minimum of 5 years Brand/Product and P&L management experience with consumer goods company
+ Must have strong leadership, business, creative and analytic skills.
+ Consumer marketing experience with a natural product and/or food company is a plus.
+ Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints and adapt to the unexpected
+ Experience working on new product development and launch.
+ Proven knowledge of consumer advertising and promotion techniques
+ Experience working with syndicated data sources (IRI/Neilsen) to make informed decisions.
+ Advanced understanding and successful application of consumer research and analysis
+ Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
+ Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Ability to operate in a team environment with a “can do” attitude.
+ Willingness to travel when required.
