Join Our Imaging Team
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a **PRN Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)** to join our Radiology Department at **BSW Round Rock Medical Center.** This PRN role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging for both ambulatory and hospital patients in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a **Radiologic Technologist** , you will perform X-ray exams following physician orders and established imaging protocols, ensuring accurate diagnostic results and exceptional patient care.
What You’ll Do
+ Perform **high-quality diagnostic radiology (X-ray) procedures** according to established protocols.
+ Maintain consistent imaging quality, proper positioning, and accurate exposure techniques.
+ Communicate with patients using **AIDET principles** to build rapport and ensure comfort.
+ Prepare exam rooms and position patients correctly for safe and effective imaging.
+ Adhere to all **radiation safety** , infection control, and sterile technique policies.
+ Monitor and maintain imaging equipment; report issues promptly and ensure full operational readiness.
+ Manage documentation including requisitions, patient history, and exam records in **PACS and EMR** systems.
+ Ensure patient safety through proper screening, pregnancy verification, and shielding practices.
+ Provide timely, accurate, and patient-centered service in a fast-paced environment.
+ Participate in **call rotation** as needed.

Requirements
+ **Education:** Graduate of an **Accredited Radiologic Technology Program**
+ **Experience:** Less than 1 year required; hospital experience preferred
+ **Certification/Licensure:**
+ **ARRT (R)** – Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiography
+ Licensed by the **Texas Medical Board (TMB)** as a **Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)**
+ **BLS Certification** (within 30 days of hire)
+ Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills
+ Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in high-volume environments
