A Snapshot of Your Day
You will serve as the key interface to the front-line managers and supervisors regarding all EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) matters for our Houston Service Center. You will actively facilitate the incident and risk management program to mitigate adverse impacts related to EHS for the organization. The business can be fast paced and ever challenging; candidates require strong time management skills and abilities to prioritize multiple activities simultaneously to be successful.
How You’ll Make an Impact
The EHS Specialist supports the implementation and coordination of EHS programs at our Houston Repair and Overhaul facility including:
+ Develop, implement, and manage EHS policies, plans, procedures, and processes to ensure the effective management of hazard identification, assessment of risk and implementation of controls.
+ Assist supervisors with safe assembly, disassembly, and machining of unique compression and steam components in a manufacturing/repair shop environment.
+ Conduct EHS-related audits, inspections, and assessments of company owned and leased property to ensure compliance with EHS-related regulatory affairs, and company standards.
+ Develop and facilitate training, safety meeting topics and safety notices for employees on issues related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.
+ Assist supervisors with performing root cause analysis of all EHS incidents and assist in case management of reported injuries. Communicate investigation reports and Lessons Learned/Executive Summary reports to Division EHS within the required time frames.
+ Measure and ensure effective implementation of the EHS Management System and assist in the planning for EHS continual improvement to achieve objectives and targets.
What You Bring
+ At least 4 years of formal education in EHS related field, or relevant work experience.
+ 5+ years of EHS experience in the oil and gas industry or similar high standard Industry, particularly in a manufacturing/repair shop environment. Thosewith more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
+ Knowledge of environmental reporting standards and regulations with the ability to communicate environmental data effectively to various stakeholders.
+ This position requires an understanding of the relevant EHS country regulations and international standards.
+ Ability to conduct safety inductions, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences on EHS matters. Abilityto travel up to 10% of the time (domestic).
+ Strong knowledge of reporting systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) to create reports, presentations, and documentation.

Our regional EHS teams supports the America’s service region for compression working closely with the Quality Management, and Business Improvement departments to support projects execution and foster a zero-harm culture.
