Description

Primary Responsibilities

+ Evaluates insurance for acceptability and appropriate pricing.

+ Evaluates risks according to underwriting guidelines and experience.

+ Recommends risk improvement and/or loss control measures to achieve the appropriate rate for the risk.

+ Documents final decision on applications to ensure policies are issued or declined accurately while adhering to compliance regulations.

+ Works with a variety of internal and external partners to ensure prompt and efficient service to our customers.

+ Participates in ongoing learning and technical development.

Knowledge and Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Must have a commitment to completing industry education.

+ Ability to learn Company product portfolio, retention limits, reinsurance procedures, and the Company's philosophy regarding reinsurance submissions.

+ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

+ Effective utilization of computer systems for essential job functions, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with IFBI processing systems as assigned.

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

+ Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in both written correspondence and verbal communication.

+ Willingness and demonstrated ability to collaborate with underwriting team members and agents.
