Job Summary
The Technical Services Specialist is responsible for direct contact with dealers, reps, and end-users in addition to effectively communicating to understand the needs and expectations of each project through orders, quotations, and drawings. This role works closely with Sales Engineers and Managers to receive approval for quotes and drawings and assist in managing projects to completion. This enables KPS Global to configure custom solutions and offer exemplary customer service.

Major Responsibilities
• Evaluating and anticipating complex customer needs and translating this into walk-in configurable and custom products
• Originating or revising quotations and/or drawings to meet project needed
• Communicating required information effectively with external and internal contacts
• Processing orders accurately within assigned timelines
• Providing support to Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Parts, and Credit departments regarding a customer’s business before and after the sale
• Meeting with Sales Engineers and/or Managers to gain necessary approval on quotes and drawings
• Sourcing non-stocked purchased components required to meet a customer’s needs
• Reviewing product information to gain knowledge on product line for application on future jobs
• Working with Product Design to best determine how to meet the project needs with reasonable equipment design and function through presentation drawings
• Working within a team structure to support a pre-determined territory and provide back-up within the team; this may include chain accounts established in the territory
• Relaying volume of work in progress and other business intelligence to marketing for purposes of forecasting
Required Experience
Required Skills, Experience, Education & Certifications

• Associate degree
• 1 – 3 years of experience in commercial foodservice equipment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interpret and understand construction documents and specifications
• Capable of applying basic math principles
• Detail oriented
• Comfortable with heavy phone and computer use
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint preferred
