    IT Service Desk / Help Desk OpportunityPosition Summary

     

    As a Help Desk Contractor, you will provide front-line technical support in a high-volume customer contact center environment. This role is 100% phone-based, supporting thousands of internal users and hundreds of applications, from Microsoft products to proprietary systems. The team currently handles 800–1,100 calls daily, with individual agents managing 10–30 calls per day using ServiceNow for ticketing.

    Top Responsibilities

    + Deliver first-contact resolution and superior customer service via multiple communication channels.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technology-related issues or escalate as needed.

    + Accurately document all interactions in the contact tracking system and maintain ticket ownership.

    + Utilize knowledge management tools to assist clients effectively.

    + Guide users through online forms for system access, services, hardware/software requests.

    + Perform basic software installations and diagnose connectivity issues.

    + Escalate trends and outages to leadership for Service News postings.

    + Manage time effectively in a contact center environment and log activities using required codes.

    Shift

    + 5 weeks onsite training and then representatives work a hybrid schedule—10 days per month in-office—with remote work requiring a dedicated workspace, reliable internet, and availability for an 8-hour shift between 6:30 AM – 9:00 PM EST.

    Required Qualifications

    + 3+ years recent help desk troubleshooting experience in a call center environment.

    + Basic technical knowledge of:

    + Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer hardware/software.

    + Windows Operating systems, mobile devices, networking, business applications, and security products.

    + Ability to work non-standard shifts, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    + Professional demeanor when interacting with employees at all organizational levels.

    Training Program

    + Duration: 5 weeks of intensive classroom training.

    + Active participation required—engagement, note-taking, and questions encouraged.

    + Weekly quizzes and a final exam (80% minimum score required ) to graduate.

    + Failure to meet training standards will result in termination of the assignment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
