    Medical Office Assistant

     

    Our esteemed client, one of the top health systems in the DMV area, is currently hiring for a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in patient-facing environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional care and support.

     

    Schedule: Monday – Friday

     

    Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-Hour Shift)

     

    Pay Rate: $20-25/HR (Depending on Experience)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receive and screen telephone calls, provide information per department/hospital policy, and route calls appropriately.

    • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring relevant diagnostic test results are obtained prior to visits.

    • Register patients in the hospital’s registration system and applicable department systems.

    • Prepare patients to be seen by physicians; escort them to examination rooms and record information in charts.

    • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.

    Qualifications

    + Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (required)

    + Will consider candidates who are not a CMA or RMA, if experience is over 6 years and have plan to take CMA or RMA test

    + Experience with patient registration systems

    + Strong knowledge of healthcare terminology & EMR experience

    + Excellent communication and organizational skills

    + Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olney, MD.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
