Business Systems Analyst - Ambulatory EMR

AT TEKsystems we are supporting a local healthcare provider seeking a Business Systems Analyst with healthcare EMR systems experience. Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Business Systems Analyst provides application support to user departments and serves as the primary liaison between the business community, vendors, and the IS Department. This role is responsible for Tier 2 application support and translating high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the IS Department. The analyst manages changes to specifications and leverages various platforms to deliver automated system applications to customers. The position involves gathering, compiling, and synthesizing information related to technology processes and systems. Responsibilities include coding, defining criteria, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining programs. The analyst also researches emerging technologies and evaluates their potential application to the business. The ideal candidate comes with minimum 1-3 years of experience in a EMR healthcare environment. Candidates must be a resident of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide Tier 2 support for Ambulatory EMR applications.

+ Act as a liaison between business units, vendors, and IS Department.

+ Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes.

+ Develop and maintain automated system applications across multiple platforms.

+ Gather and analyze information on technology processes and systems.

+ Perform coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.

+ Stay current with emerging technologies and assess applicability to business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Health Care, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

+ Valid driver’s license, clean abstract, and current Hawai‘i auto insurance.

+ At least one (1) year of experience in functional analysis, system design, and/or business applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Epic experience in MyChart, Healthy Planet, Care Everywhere, and Cosmos modules.

+ Prior healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
