Temp role with potential for extension based on attendance/performance Local candidates to St. Petersburg, FL only- will work a hybrid schedule in office 2-3 days per week in Tower 4 5+ years of HR experience and a minimum of 3+ years of experience in HR operations, compliance, or audit support Visio experience is required Workday experience is a plus Position Summary The HR Audit Documentation Specialist will support the HR team in preparing, organizing, and standardizing documentation required for internal and external audits. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies by maintaining accurate, accessible, and audit-ready records for HR data governance. Will maintain a dotted line into the BURM role under the HR Chief of Staff. Key Responsibilities Review existing HR audit documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. Standardize documentation templates and formats across all audit-related materials. Collaborate with HR business partners and COE subject matter experts to gather missing or updated information. Organize and maintain documentation in accordance with audit frameworks, retention schedules, and data privacy standards. Develop and update process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to HR, Workday and audit activities. Track documentation progress and maintain a centralized repository for HR data governance and audit materials. Support internal data governance processes, including audit preparation and respond to documentation requests from auditors. Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes and recommend best practices. Support internal clients by carrying out standard activities and providing assistance to others. Assist in activities by following established procedures and supporting quality control systems.

Overview
seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Data Governance Specialist to support the development and documentation of data governance policies across our HR organization. This role will be instrumental in shaping how human capital data is maintained, reported, and audited, while collaborating closely with the People Analytics & Insights team, HR managers, and extended operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document HR data governance policies and procedures
- Organize and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR data workflows
- Collaborate with teams to understand reporting capabilities and dashboard requirements
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable documentation and governance standards
- Support Workday expansion efforts by documenting business requirements and workflow processes
- Create visual process maps and workflow diagrams using Visio
- Convert visual workflows into formal SOPs with written and verbal documentation
- Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and meetings to capture evolving processes
- Ensure compliance with internal risk and audit requirements through robust documentation
- Assist in project management tasks related to HR data governance initiatives
Qualifications
- Proven experience in HR data governance, compliance, and risk management
- Strong documentation skills with the ability to convert verbal input into structured standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for process mapping and workflow visualization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in environments with frequent audits (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Ability to manage projects and develop standardized procedures independently
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with initial onsite presence for onboarding

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
