Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks to fill the position of an Associate Network Monitoring Technician/Network Monitoring Technician supporting the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) for the System Integration Test and Readiness Contract (SITR) located in Fort Greely, Alaska.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Using SolarWinds and other network management tools to monitor hardware devices, virtual machines, and network connections

+ Configuring router and switch interfaces in accordance with written documentation

+ Detecting and reporting faults

+ Assisting Field Engineers with troubleshooting activities

+ Participating in asset and system transitions

+ Maintaining archives of system logs

+ Accurately recording events in shift logs and trouble tickets, strictly adhering to all applicable processes, approved procedures, and management directives

+ Effectively responding to work schedule changes as needed to support mission requirements.

This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Network Monitoring Technician or a Network Monitoring Technician level.

Basic Qualifications:

**Associate Network Monitoring Technician** : High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience. Basic understanding of networking fundamentals and Cisco IOS commands.

Salary Range: $45,800 - $76,400

**Network Monitoring Technician** : High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.

Salary Range: $54,400 - $90,600

Requirements (Either position levels)

+ IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+) certification or higher IAW DoD 8140 requirements

+ Possesses (at a minimum) a DoD interim Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.

+ Effectively responds to work schedule changes and recall activities as needed to support mission requirements.

+ Must be able to accommodate and support a 24 hour per day/7 day per week/365 day per year work schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Basic understanding of networking fundamentals and Cisco IOS commands

+ Basic understanding of Linux/UNIX commands

+ Experience using Microsoft Windows, SolarWinds Orion Platform, VMWare ESXi and/or Active Directory

+ Knowledge of Information Security best practices such as centralized authentication and multi-factor authentication

+ STEM Degree

Primary Level Salary Range: $45,800.00 - $76,400.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $54,400.00 - $90,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
