Position Overview
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for the pricing process, including calculating sell-side pricing and reviewing buy-side pricing. Reporting to the Supervisor, Finance – Pricing, the Analyst provides analytical and financial support to the Finance team on price changes and ensures price changes are properly maintained in the system.
This individual requires strong analytical skills, a pricing and/or finance background, and strong attention to detail. The position is responsible for gathering data using SAP and NDCP’s data warehouse, analyzing information, and preparing presentation data in Excel.
This individual should have a strong sense of urgency and be self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills to work closely with multiple departments across the company.
Schedule: Hybrid, in Duluth, GA office: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Monday through Friday: 9 am to 6 pm
Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Support the Supervisor and other key stakeholders with all elements of pricing and other ad-hoc work2. Execute a process that ensures that the Analyst is the main point of contact for all elements of pricing, including research and analysis thereof, as needed3. Update system(s) and identify and communicate each period’s price changes to the Pricing Supervisor4. Validate store-delivered pricing accuracy in system output by maintaining all variables in addition to product cost – taxability, sourcing fees, markup, etc.5. Review buy-side pricing for accuracy6. Work with suppliers, Sourcing, and Finance partners to resolve price discrepancies7. Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
Supervision ExercisedThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
2. 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and intermediate Excel user experience required4. Experience with building finance reports5. Strong analytical and research skills6. Understanding of SAP strongly preferred7. Experience with business intelligence tools and/or data warehouse preferred8. Solid understanding of general business principles9. Demonstrated attention to detail as well as the ability to summarize results10. The ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple, often competing, interests while working independently11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Physical Demands• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.• Ability to operate a computer keyboard and to view a computer screen for extended periods of time.
