    This position is open to all current Maintenance Supervisor I and Maintenance Supervisor IIs (Telephones)

    Responsibility:

    The incumbent will provide supervisory oversight to Level I Maintenance Supervisors within the Contract Compliance Group of EMD to ensure daily safe and efficient operation and provide day-to-day supervision of Telephone Maintainers responsible for capital support. This support shall include Access and Protection, Bulletin support, and support the removal and/or installation of EMD assets as provided for under capital contracts. The Incumbent shall also be required to work Incident Manager coverage when scheduled . This position requires flexibility in varied tours and reporting locations anywhere within the operating environment for New York City Transit at managements discretion.

     

    Capital Contract support shall include, but not be limited to the review and comment on contracts drawings and specifications; determine the appropriate employee resources/allocation to support various capital tasks, perform site visits with contractors, perform FAI, FAT, SAT, SIT and final Inspections as per contract requirements, generate and manage vendor punch lists, and provide coordination between EMD operating departments and MTA C&D. The incumbent shall partner with MTA C&D construction managers and contractor(s) to ensure that all contract requirements are delivered properly and in satisfactory condition per sections 19 specifications. The incumbent shall also review, comment, and endorse Communication Bulletins for final approval. The incumbent must be familiar with EMD's Communication Systems' construction, maintenance policies and procedures. Systems include PACIS, PSLAN, CCTV, Access Intrusion Systems, HPI, Asynchronous Networks, SONET, ATM, COE, BEACON, EA, ET, PBX, Fire Alarm, Radio, Recorder Ckts, Copper and Optical Networks.

    Compensation:

    Maintenance Supervisor (Telephones) II Salary Range:

    1st Year $112,448

     

    2nd Year $114,057

     

    3rd Year $118,067

    Education and Experience:

    Five years of full-time satisfactory experience in the maintenance, installation and repair of telephone equipment or electrically operated alarm equipment; at least one year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.

    Desired Skills:

    + Familiar with MTA C&D Contract Specification sections 19 and PRDC section 7.

    + Experienced in the maintenance, installation, and repair of EMD's Communication Systems.

    + Knowledge of NYCT policies and procedures including safety regulations.

    + Knowledge of General Orders and Communication Bulletins as well as TWU & SSSA contracts.

    + Able to accurately estimate MSI and Hourly personnel/labor necessary to perform and complete assigned jobs.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office & Visio.

    + Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
