The Philosophy Department in the College of Arts & Sciences at Syracuse University is seeking a part-time instructor of Philosophy to teach a section of PHI 307, Ancient Greek and Roman Philosophy , a 3-credit course, during Spring 2026 semester.
The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department.
Course Description: Development of Western philosophy from the Presocratic Greek philosophers to the Hellenistic period. Major figures such as Parmenides, Zeno, Socrates, Plato and Aristotle.
