Job Summary
Manage the maturation of response and recovery capabilities at AEP through a robust training and exercise program that includes various activities of scale and complexity. Effectively lead a cross-functional team of subject matter exerts in the design of realistic scenarios that reflect risks facing the electric sector. Maintain the enterprise BCM governance process, global framework, methodology and tools. Provide input to management reporting of BCM progress against defined Key Performance Indicators, budget and resource planning for the enterprise BCM program. Individuals must have strong analytical and facilitation skills, an ability to operate independently, effective communication and relationship management skills, and an ability to remain flexible and adaptable to changing environments or stressful situations. This position is part of a 24/7 on-call team for support during corporate emergencies using Incident Command System principles.

What You'll Do:
+ Leads development of training and exercise plan related to business continuity and emergency management roles, plans, and associated tools in accordance with Policy and Standards to mature corporate readiness.
+ Leads activities for AEP to design, execute, and evaluate resilience training and exercises, partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Develops and monitors corrective action plans for Enterprise Resilience lessons learned and areas of improvement.
+ Build and foster relationships with corporate and OpCo/BU business leadership to develop support for the BCM program and process.
+ Facilitate the development of resilience training, exercise, and evaluation standards, framework, methodology and processes.
+ Partners with team members and assigned Business Units and Operating Companies to ensure execution of activities in compliance with Enterprise Resilience Policy and standards (e.g., Business Impact Analysis; Business Continuity Plans; Emergency Management Plans; Training, Exercise, and Evaluation).
+ Manages reporting on key performance metrics associated with resilience training and exercises.
+ Collaborate with other business units and corporate organizations to ensure consistency and alignment with enterprise business continuity goals.
+ Execute corporate support responsibilities as directed by supervisor or on-call Crisis Response Coordinator during Corporate emergencies and activations.
Note:** **_This position is posted in a range. The final grade and compensation offered will be based on the successful candidate's education, experience, certificates and relevant skills. The minimum qualifications below are for Enterprise Resilience Analyst Manager._
What We're Looking For:
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science or business.
+ MBA or similar advanced degree desirable.
Experience:
+ Eight (8) years of Business Continuity experience, with five (5) of those years in a manager or lead capacity.
+ Sufficient knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts to partner with IT in designing business function required IT recovery strategies.
Experience with all phases of Business Continuity program development including:
+ Project initiation and management, business impact analysis, recovery strategy development, business continuity plan development, exercise development, training and maintenance.
**Licenses/Certifications** :
Certification in business continuity or emergency management is desired (e.g., Associate Business Continuity Professional, Certified Business Continuity Professional, Certified Emergency Manager Certification from the Disaster Recovery Institute, International (DRII) as a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) desirable. Certification from as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is desirable.
Other Requirements:
+ Ability to work extended hours with little or no advanced notice, work off-hours and be called back to work for significant business disruptions or Corporate emergencies.
+ In-depth familiarity with industry standards outlining best practices for business continuity and emergency management programs.
+ Proficient application of Incident Command System (ICS) roles and responsibilities, the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) National Response Framework.
+ Familiarity with Enterprise Risk and Resilience technology platforms, such as Archer and Everbridge (emergency communications)
+ Ability to analyze a range of complex problems with an understanding of strategic issues related to the decision-making process.
+ Ability to proactively execute productive solutions with minimal guidance and direction.
+ Strong interpersonal skills when building relationships with internal and external stakeholders Leads multiple project teams (including direct reports and indirect project team members) simultaneously in alignment with project scope, budget, and timeline.
+ Good interpersonal skills in dealing with external utilities, operating companies and other AEP personnel.
What You'll Get:
$120,000- $165,000
