ETO Electrical Engineer

This role is responsible for Electrical systems design, specification, FAT, Commissioning and assisting other
departments with Installation and start-up. This role requires application of well-developed technical
knowledge in planning, conducting and coordinating difficult assignments. Integrates with team lead to make decisions in
planning, organizing and completing technical assignments.
Roles, Responsibilities
• Performs product development activities including designs, interpretation and implementation of customer
specifications and documentation requirements.
• Develop design, layout, testing and evaluation of mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical devices or
systems.
• Works with high integrity and complies with company guidelines on business ethics.
• Develops schematics, single line diagram and assembly level drawings to execute entire project.
• Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing
electrical systems specifications, technical drawings or topographical maps.
• Completes essential trainings on modern systems & development plans as required.
Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
• Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
• Coordinates with other engineers to prepare detailed documentation such Functional Design Specifications,
Testing and Commissioning procedures, Operations and Maintenance Manuals etc. as required by the project.
• Involves in some project management duties and project deliverables.
• Provides existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware in production.
• The day to day tasks involved at this level are closely related to the work of others.
This implies the quality and timeliness of the information provided and work produced will have an impact on the
effectiveness of the team.
• The job requires a good understanding of how the team integrates with other teams in order to achieve overall
objectives of the department.
• There is a knowledge of business principles, industry practices and standards.
• Required to support and mentor more unior engineers within the team
• Accountable for overall project completion, SQs, PQs, NCR’s & FPRs.
• Authority to stop work on any safety related concerns.
Qualification & Experience
• Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering or related Engineering degree.
• 5-10 years of related experience.
• PC Skills and working knowledge of engineering software packages such as CAD and electrical design
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in Oil & Gas industry
• Experience in subsea production control system hardware, specifically MCS, PLC Logic, PHPU, Subsea Power and
Communciation, Network Design & system network topology design and configuration
