Are you an experienced Park and Recreation Supervisor with a passion for leadership and exceptional customer service? Join us as the South County Campground and Program Supervisor, overseeing daily operations at Snook Haven Campground and surrounding park locations.
You’ll manage staff, volunteers, and contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and guest-focused operations. Key responsibilities include staff training and scheduling, campground and facility management, revenue and occupancy tracking, cash handling, and on-site concession oversight.

Campground and Operations :
+ Supervise full-time and seasonal staff at Snook Haven Campground and other South County Park locations, ensuring completion of required training and certifications
+ Implement operational plans to achieve occupancy, revenue, and customer service goals, monitoring performance and identifying efficiency improvements
+ Manage financial records, including revenue tracking, occupancy and bed tax reports, reconciliations, and cash handling compliance
+ Oversee procurement, inventory management, and contracted services to support daily operations
+ Coordinate, train, and supervise volunteers such as Camp Hosts and Waterway Stewards to support program needs
+ Ensure parks, campgrounds, and amenities are maintained safely, cleanly, and welcoming through inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs
+ Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and coordinate complex repairs with Facilities and Maintenance Services staff
+ Support customer engagement initiatives, including special events, marketing efforts, and enhanced visitor experiences
Business Operations:
+ Assist with preparing reports, financial analyses, and operational summaries to support decision-making and budget management
+ Provide quality customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback from the public, concessionaires, and program partners
+ Ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and documentation for audits, compliance, and performance review purposes
+ Support enforcement of County regulations, policies, and program guidelines
+ Participate in meetings, trainings, and safety briefings, and oversee risk management, fraud prevention, and audit-related activities
Work Hours:
+ Operating Days: Sunday - Saturday
+ Work Full-Time, 40 hours per week
+ 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. shifts
+ Enjoy a flexible, rotating schedule that supports park operations and special events
+ Be ready to jump in for occasional evening or weekend shifts during exciting community events
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent education -AND- Four (4) years of job related experience
+ -OR- Associate's degree -AND- Two (2) years of job related experience
+ -OR- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in recreation, leisure services, education, one of the biological or natural sciences, or job-related field
+ -OR- Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, at the manager's discretion
+ One (1) year of supervisory experience
+ Valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire
The ideal candidate has the following:

+ Two (2) or more years of previous experience in the supervision or daily operation of campground facilities, events, or recreation programming
+ Experience supporting media or public outreach efforts
+ Familiarity with recreation management or facility reservation software
+ Previous experience in campground, park, or hospitality operations
+ Possession of a Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification through the National Recreation and Park Association
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of five years
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $57,179.20 - $59,280.00/ annual , based on experience
