About the role
As a **Clinical Data Engineer** , you will Work closely with clinical operations and data management teams. You will be a valued member of the **Life Sciences** team and work collaboratively in team and work collaboratively with a dynamic and inclusive team within the environment at Cognizant.
In this role, you will:
• Collaborate with clinical operations, data management, and other teams to gather and analyse requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable specifications and process flows.
• Create and maintain documentation to support systems and integrations.
• Work with the Data Analyst to define reporting requirements for dashboards and reports.
• Ensure accurate reporting by understanding and supporting data transformation processes.

What you need to have to be considered:
• Ability to work closely with clinical operations, data management, and other business units.
• Strong analytical skills to elicit and document detailed business requirements for data integrations.
• Capability to translate complex business needs into functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation (data dictionaries, flow diagrams, interface specifications, business rules).
• Understanding of data lineage and transformation processes from source systems to data lakes.
Salary and Other Compensation:
• Applications will be accepted until November 30, 2025.
• The annual salary for this position is between $113,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
• This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
